The Sennheiser EW512P-G4-DW is a wireless lavalier system designed for portable ENG and video production applications. Both the SK500-G4 beltpack and EK500-G4 receiver are battery powered ( 2 x AA batteries each ) which give upto 8 hours use on location.
The system is provided with an MKE2-EW-GOLD lapel microphone, which is capable of broadcast quality sound. The umbrella diaphragm used in this mic help to prevent damage to due to moisture ingress. To help prevent wind noise when used outside a soft 'furry' windshield is included in the kit.
Two different output cables are provided for use with the EK500-G4. The CL1 cable has a 3.5mm mini-jack output, so is suitable for use with semi-professional video cameras and DSLR cameras. Alternatively, the CL500 cable is terminated with a male XLR plug, for use with cameras fitted with professional XLR mic inputs. As well as the line-level output on the EK500-G4 receiver, a second mini-jack is provided to allow monitoring of the sound with any headphones or earphones fitted with a standard 3.5mm plug.

Range DW (790 - 865 MHz)
Range DW is a flexible choice for use in the UK and across Europe. Without a licence it can be used in the UK between 863-865 MHz. This is enough bandwidth to allow the use of upto 4 x systems simultaneously.
With a standard UK radio mic licence, it can be used between 823-832 MHz. This is sufficient bandwidth to alllow the use of upto 12 x simultaneous systems. Access to 823-832 MHz is also well co-ordinated across Europe, so Range DW is a good choice for companies working both in the UK and in Europe.
