Overview
The Sennheiser E965 is a hand-held vocal microphone with a true condenser capsule using large-diaphragm technology.
The E965 has been designed specifically to provide exceptionally high quality vocals for live performances. Directivity is switchable between cardioid and super-cardioid polar patterns. This enables optimum results for any application. A -10dB can be switched in between the mic capsule and the preamp to provide very high SPL handling ( upto 152dB ) for the loudest stage. A low-cut switch tailors the bass response of the mic to help exclude unwanted subsonic energy at source.
The E965 has been designed to offer effective screening of plosive pop sounds, even when close miking. The capsule is shock-mounted to provide the lowest possible handling noise.
The mic is supplied with an MZQ800 clip and a protective pouch.
